Hello, all! If you haven't seen my post in PROMOTION COMMOTION, I am the artist and writer of OniGirl. I hope you will take the time to check out my work! I've put my heart and soul into it so I hope it speaks to you in some way. If you take the time to check out my comic, and want to leave a comment on a page, PLEASE DO SO! It's SO encouraging and motivating to get alerts when someone has commented on my site and it makes me SO HAPPY. Thanks!! I truly miss being in a like-minded community, and am hoping to meet other comic enthusiasts and creators here! I am in a few Discord groups but those can be so saturated and fast-paced, it's hard to make actual connections! It's easier to make those kinds of connections in forums, I think. As for myself, I am a graphic designer for a mural company located in Houston, TX. By night (and on weekends!) I create pages for OniGirl. I would love to be able to my comic to a level of popularity one day, so that I can put all of my love and attention into it. Outside of work (though it seems like work is all I do!), I try to do yoga and rock-climb when I can. Ideally, I would be spending more time curled up in a blanket with comics, manga, and snacks. In 2020, I was able to launch my passion project OniGirl. OniGirl takes place in a rural countryside, in a school for monster children, sequestered from human eyes. Because the monster population has dwindled over time, the intention of the school is to help the human-passing monster students learn to assimilate themselves into human society. My main character is a half-human, half-oni girl, who not only struggles with her own dual identity, but also with anxiety and self-esteem. Please check out OniGirl, and continue this journey with me!
