With all the PC garbage polluting comics and movies--both by creators and celebrities, many of these so-called "artists" are certainly not worth both our time and money. Sure, I try to separate the artist from the art, yet when they insult the ones who and unfortunately provided them their privileged and lavish lives, it can get tough. Though the majority of current releases both in comics and movies are just a bunch of lazy untalented hacks who have literally sh¡t upon legacy characters and brands, keep this in mind: there are hundreds of thousands of comics and films from previous years that are available to consume! Here's what we can do: We have many outlets where we can turn to and purchase quality comics from the past at fractions of the cost of today's lackluster expensive propaganda pamphlets. We can buy comics used initially at local comic shops. One thing that's great about this we can now not give another penny to the likes of current gross companies such as Disney and Warner by purchasing back issues and used trade paperbacks. Where can we do so? Well, here's a list of such merchants: ---EBay--where we can get used trade paperbacks and lots which can include bulk purchases of multiple issues from one comic series. Many can be bought between 50 cents to $2.00 a book: some even with free shipping! Recently, I've been able to get lots from 10 to 12 comics for as little as $10 to $15 bucks! And many of them all come bagged and boarded! ---Yard Sales, Flea Markets and Thrift Stores--many people just want to dump their comic collections and sell them at sometimes even lower prices than at LCSs and EBay! --Amazon--you can buy many used trade paperbacks there through independent sellers. --Mile High Comics--now this has always been the true beacon to get used comics! Plus, if you are choosy regarding book's conditions, they sell many offered within different grades (Fine, Excellent, Mint, etc.) --Salvation Army, Goodwill and Savers Stores--These stores can be a hit or miss selling comics, but you may luck out at times finding comics there. All of the above except for Mile High can also be great places to get used dvds and blu-rays; along with music used cds & vinyl records. Even Dollar Tree sells new dvds/blu-rays & cds for a buck! I've actually found a few D.C. WB animated films there! "If it's free, than its for me..." --Comixology: You can buy digital comics there if you want, but they do have HUNDREDS of FREE digital comics you can download and read from their site/app. ---DriveThruComics: this is similar to Comixology but specifically deals with indie comics! --Roku: you can get a Roku box for your TV as low as $40--plus Roku is now built-in into some newer TVs. If you have wifi internet, you'll be able to choose from many FREE channels that offer thousands of movies and tv series to watch. My top favorite ones on there are called Tubi & Pluto. These two channels, to me, offer way more diverse content than Netflix (which I cancelled 5 years ago). --TV Antenna: sometimes when the weather isn't good, a TV Antenna can be a pain to pull in tv stations, but local ones are usually not a problem. My favorite channels to watch FREE classic films and shows are: MeTV, Laff, Comet & AntennaTV. I "cut the cord" to cable like 12 years ago and I never looked back saving lots of money! --Local Libraries are also great places to check out graphic novels and dvds! But, as always, the best place to purchase & support great newly released quality comics is right here at Alterna Comics and thru crowdfunding on such platforms as IndieGoGo! Happy Hobbying!

I know there's a few links on this forum to creator's websites, but they not always include a rundown of other books they may have or currently worked on (both with Alterna, crowd funded or with other comic companies). I'd like to see if a forum section could be created specifically for Alterna creators to list such information. For, when I like a book a lot, I like to see what else those involved in it have done so I can get their other works. Thanks.

Another segment of "Everything You Need To Know About _________ in 30 Minutes" went up on YouTube today talking with Wulf & Batsy creator Bryan Baugh! Bryan was great to listen to about this new offering from Alterna Comics! He has much enthusiasm regarding his books and really gave quite a nice rundown of main characters and what to expect from his books without giving too much away. When I get my perks from the Fall 2021 campaign, the two Wulf & Batsy books will be the first ones I read! Bryan; welcome to Alterna! You're now part of something great! Here's the link to this excellent video!: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EF_jOCSbO70

In INTRODUCTIONS
I enjoy Alterna very much! Been into their books since like 2015. First book I read was the Chair. I love everything about that book. Then, my other favorite is Blood Realm! Also enjoy Red Koi, Downcast, Mighty Mascots, It Came out on a Wednesday, XII... I just love the books being released on newsprint! I feel colors are more deep on the old school paper. Too many books today are just too soft and shiney on gloss paper. Newsprint gives the books more grit. I think Pete is our new Stan Lee! He connects with fans and gets us to meet the creators of books released on Alterna via his youtube channel. It's a great connection for us fans who like getting an in-depth look regarding characters and the book creating processes. I feel I'm part of something great reading Alterna Books. It's all very exciting for me as a comic book lover! I don't say I'm a comic collector, but a comic reader. I'm not uptight over book grades. I enjoy searching for classic books from the 70s-90s at flea markets and antique stores. The only publisher I get the most new books from are from Alterna. I like that I can order directly via the website and now crowd funding. Other interests: Horror films--especially from the Universal Monsters era up to the 80s. Independent horror films are fun, too. Plus music--mainly hard rock, grunge and metal: but also like a lot of pop/dance from the 70s-90s...also enjoy classic Saturday morning cartoons plus Anime like Death Note, Soul Eater and Golgo 13! Also into action figures and vinyl records...

I would love if for the crowd funding people that contributed could be entered in contests for things such as a sketch card, a blank comic cover sketch or signed books by our favorite Alterna creators! Contributing to Indiegogo were firsts for me to contribute to crowd funding and first time getting a commission from a comic artist. That is how much I enjoy Alterna Comics and want to see all involved with the publisher to thrive and continue to bring us all great comics! I love the live feeds Pete does with other artists such as Keith, Rob, Tyler, Clint, and Ryan. To me, you all are carrying the torch for being out there like Lee & Kirby was when Marvel was a great comic organization. Sadly now, Marvel is a parody of themselves and aren't even smart enough to realize it. Make mine Alterna!
