I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but the 4 shops mentioned above are no longer carrying our comics. Despite selling thousands of them over the years, all 4 shops have ceased placing orders for our titles, even when we've reached out directly to them and offered them a greater discount than Diamond AND free shipping on their large volume orders (something Diamond does not do).
You can visit alternacomics.com/retailers to find shops that are carrying *most* of Alterna's releases.
The only reason I mention this is because I know that many readers order through those retailers. Instead of waiting for them to carry our titles, I suggest ordering direct from us instead. Especially for customers in the US, you'll get free shipping on orders of $25 or more (which isn't too hard to reach). But if you don't reach the $25 threshold, we offer $5 flat rate shipping on any order below $24.99.
Maybe one day those retailers, and many others, will consider ordering directly from us so that they can maximize their profits but it appears that most retailers are satisfied with the current Diamond system and I'd rather concentrate on getting our books in the hands of readers -- instead of just getting them on the shelf at a retailer.
They probably decided to cut a bunch of stuff to afford the new prices Marvel and DC are asking for. Also, make room for the next batch of Pop! toys. Their loss.
That's a bummer but it's their loss.
Not sure why they don't want to make money, their loss our gain!
I noticed MyComicShop stopped selling Alterna on their preorders- a real bummer! It was nice getting all my periodicals in one place while it lasted.
That's a shame I've used mycomicshop to order back issues many times to fill holes in my collection. Sometimes you can't convince people what's in there best interest no matter how many times you try to help them out.
Well that's disappointing but...onward we go!
