Andrew Dobson does a great job giving distinct voices to each character and by the time you finish the first volume you'll feel like you understand most of them.

I like that more time was spent setting up the characters and establishing a tone than was necessarily spent on action, setting, or plot development. It set up a feel for the series that seems right for that unnameable reason that crops up in just about everything that shows promise....for everything else, this was a pretty solid first issue and it leaves me craving more from the series. This could add up to a five star title for me if the following issues maintain this level of promise.
